Building Confidence & Improved Mobility for Minority Communities through Recreational Therapy, Local Community Events and Sponsored Mobility Based Medical Equipment
How we Fulfill our Mission
Recreational Therapy
Our Climbing Clinics provide recreational therapy through rock climbing, snowboarding, motocross, rafting, indoor rock climbing, ice climbing and mountaineering. Through our clinics, participants can experience the physical and mental benefits of climbing, such as increased strength, improved coordination and increased self-confidence. Our Clinics are designed to provide team based recreational therapy, providing a sense of accomplishment and helping participants overcome physical and mental barriers. Open to all ages and those with or without disabilities.
- PTSD has been linked to an increased risk of suicide among military personnel.

- A study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology found that after a six-week indoor climbing program, participants' self-efficacy scores increased by an average of 12.4 points on a 100-point scale.
- Women who have served in the military are more likely to develop PTSD than men.
- Around 30% of people with limb loss experience depression and/or anxiety.
- Our clinics cost on average $7,000 for a sponsored participant.

Donating Mobility Based Medical Equipment
We donate prosthetics, wheelchairs, medical equipment, and supplies to underserved local and abroad communities. The majority of this focus is to provide mobility to children and less fortunate communities. Because children grow so fast, they need regular newly sized prosthetics, insurance companies normally do not support child prosthetics due to how many prosthetics children need from year to year. Our mission is to raise the funds required to give children and the less fortunate mobility and full and vibrant life.
- A Childs Prosthetic Costs on Average $15,000
- Child prostetics need replaced on average every 6 months
- 2.1 million people are living with a lost limb in the USA
- There are 185,000 people who have an amputation each year.
- 1,558 military personnel lost a limb as a result of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
- Lifetime healthcare costs for people with limb loss is $509,275 compared to $361,200 for people without limb loss.
